“Big” Steve’s grandmother fostered his passion for food during summers and on holidays. Steve would sit and watch cooking shows with her, fascinated by the things chefs would create with food.
While studying at Le Cordon Bleu, Pasadena, Steve worked closely with a chef specializing in Israeli and kosher cooking all over Los Angeles. By 2007, Steve was cooking on the Central Coast, expanding his expertise with restaurants, large-event catering, seaside resorts, and wineries.
With over fifteen years’ of cooking everything from casual to four-star dining, Big Steve brings a wealth of tastes to his role as chef at Blue Moon Over Avila. His love of fresh ingredients and intense flavors elevates every dish he creates.
